This week I have really been working on taking pictures farther away than I normally do. I have had a lot of practice with up close pictures… I definitely do not have a problem getting up close and personal :). But I think there is something so captivating about a picture of a landscape or of someone far away. The surrounding space around your primary subject can really tell a story.
This morning I took my little model out for some practice. Usually my pictures of Selah are a lot more up close than this. My goal in shooting these pictures were to capture how little she is by showing how big her surroundings were. Very simple and sweet… yet making a bold statement with a big blue sky and a giant green field.
Her tiny little body in these pictures reminds me of how big God is.
What do you think about my far away pictures? I think it is good to take a step back and enjoy the view sometimes.
I couldn’t help but take at least one up close and personal picture 🙂
